ดูเหมือนว่านักปั่นที่ใช้บริการสนามเขียวเป็นประจำจะมีเรื่องให้ดีใจแล้วหละครับ เมื่อวานนี้ นสพ. บางกอกโพสต์ลงข่าวว่าธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์ตัดสินใจทุ่มงบประมาณกว่า 400 ล้านบาท ร่วมมือกับบริษัท ทอท (AOT) เพื่อปรับโฉมสนามเขียวยกใหญ่ ทั้งเพิ่มระยะทาง ขยายเป็น 8 เมตร เพิ่มห้องน้ำ เพิ่มจุดจอดพักจักรยานและร้านอาหาร เป็นโปรเจ็คระยะยาวแต่น่าจะเริ่มงานในเร็วๆ นี้ ลองอ่านรายละเอียดข่าวที่ยกมาข้างล่างนี้ครับ

“นายประสงค์ พูนธเนศ ประธานกรรมการบริษัท ท่าอากาศยานไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) (ทอท.) เปิดเผยว่า ที่ประชุมคณะกรรมการวันนี้ (18.09.2557) มีมติเห็นชอบให้ธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์ทำการปรับปรุงและดูแลลู่ปั่นจักรยาน ณ ท่าอากายานสุวรรณภูมิ วงเงิน 400 ล้านบาท ระยะเวลา 10 ปี เพื่อขยายลู่ปั่นเป็น 8 เมตรซึ่งเป็นเลนมาตรฐานสากล สร้างเลนเพิ่มอีก 3 กิโลเมตรสำหรับนักปั่นใหม่ มีห้องน้ำทุก 5 กิโลเมตร มีที่ซ่อมและฝากจักรยาน ศูนย์อาหาร/เครื่องดื่ม ระบบรักษาความปลอดภัย ไฟฟ้าส่องสว่างสำหรับปั่นตอนกลางคืนและจัดงบประมาณอีก 20 ล้านบาทเพื่อใช้บริหารและบำรุงรักษา ทั้งนี้ ทางธนาคารฯจะจัดหาผู้บริหารลู่ปั่น ก่อสร้างซึ่งใช้เวลา 2-3 เดือนโดยคาดจะเปิดใช้ได้ก่อนสิ้นปี 2557 ส่วนนักปั่นจะเข้าใช้บริการฟรี”
World-class bike lane for airport mooted
“Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) will pedal the creation of a first-class bicycle venue at Suvarnabhumi airport, with the aim of making it one of the top tracks in the world.
Airports of Thailand (AoT) chairman Prasong Poontaneat said the bank will spend 400 million baht on improving the current lane and take responsibility for the track for 10 years with the goal of bringing it up to international standard.
The money will be used to double the lane to 8 metres wide, build a new, shorter lane of 3 kilometres for new cyclists, add toilets every 5 kilometres, set up a repair shop and a food court and install more lighting to allow night riding.
Mr Prasong did not mention a timeline for the project, saying only that the improvements will take about three months and were expected to complete by the end of this year. The present lane is 23.5 kilometres long, circling Suvarnabhumi. It has become very popular with cyclists, especially on weekends, since its launch in March.
“The bike lane will be improved to make it perfect and be another landmark of Thailand to draw cyclists around the world to experience it,” he said.”
